What is your earliest Somerville memory?All the neighborhood friends. Lot's of kids in the neighborhood. Sunsetters. Elementary school: PHCS.
How would you describe Somerville in the 1980s?Very family friendly. You knew all your neighbors. Stores were so different then. Davis Sq. theatre, Thom McCanns, FFC, Gold Etc. You could play outside all day until late because everyone was out.
How would you describe Somerville today?Alot of students, young professionals. Very diverse, multi-cultural.
How has Somerville changed?Yes, probably the convenience of being so close to Boston. I think my parents bought the house for 15,000.00 back in the day and it's amazing that you can't even afford to live there. It is so congested and difficult to park.
Thought this was a fun article. I just brought my kids 5 and 7 to see my tile 2 months ago and they thought it was the coolest thing.
